Just as the title says its Childs Play time! So what does this mean to you? Well, its time for you to help out some kids in Children’s Hospital!
So here’s what you do. When you click the Childs play link you’ll see a map with controllers on it. If you click on one of those controllers it will take you to the Amazon Wishlist for the Children’s Hospital in that area. Then you just buy something and it gets sent to the hospital automatically! Steph and I have been helping out with Childs play since the beginning and I’ve got to tell you, its super amazing to see how something like this has really helped out the kids at Children’s and also Children’s Hospital.
Something else! Ok so I’m a nerd…yeah you guys know that much. So I’ve been playing the World of Warcraft Trading card game. Its what would happen if Magic the Gathering dressed up on a Wow costume. Its fun and such…anywho, so I got a bunch of booster packs and I was fortunate to get the Saltwater Snapjaw Turtle Mount card!
Super rare card that has this code on it that allows you to get a turtle to ride around on inside of World of Warcraft. Anywho if you’ve clicked the link you’ll see that I donated it to Child’s Play this year! So go bid on it! If you have a friend who plays the Wow Card game, tell them to bid on it! 100% of the proceeds are going to Childs play so I’m not making shit off of this. Its all for the kids!

Ok so if you don’t have an xbox 360 this is a damn good reason for you to get one. I mean…DAMN good! I was able to work on it towards the end of the project and I’ve been really excited to find out what everyone else thought about said game. From the looks of it the reviewers are really into it and from what I heard Gears presales have exceeded Halo 2s presales, which I think its pretty cool!
I’ve been playing games for as long as I can remember and one thing that I found is that there tends to be these “grind” points that really irritate me. I mean to say, points in games where there are just levels that I hate, or interactions or events are just boring or whatever…you get the idea. Well, I’ve been through gears beginning to end a bunch of times and I can honestly say that there are no Grind points. The combat in that game is so fast that even parts that I’ve been through a billion times are challanging and fun.
A couple things I’d like to pass on to you…the new gears player that might help you or something to that effect.
1. Play the game on Hardcore.
Casual is cool and all but I found that Hardcore is difinately a manageable challange. Don’t get me wrong there are times you’ll get the shit beat out of you but all in all, it’s fun single player experience for the first time through.
2. Go through the game again on Insane through co-op, but make sure you’re Dom.
Hardcore is good for a challanging single player experience but once you’ve cut your teeth on the game, do it on insane. That’s a freakin meat grinder and its a blast! Also, if you’re Dom you get to unlock all the Dom achievements.
3. The Torque bow is your friend.
Mastering the Torque bow is power. In the beginning the Torque bow is awkward. It will feel like the weirdest weapon you’ve ever picked up but understand this, real skill comes from Torque bow, not from the Fing sniper rifle. Anyone can use a sniper gun, using a sniper gun takes no skill. Its point and click and people who use sniper guns and think they have skill in my mind are idiots. The sniper gun is ranged with training wheels.
ok there’s that, if any of you ever wanna throw down in multiplayer my gamertag is “Porkfry”…go figure.
