UPDATE: No baby yet.

I keep thinking of birth process starting kind of like some other kind of physical problem. Like you start feeling ill and thus you might have a cold. I keep expecting some thing to happen that will point us to the fact that Ivy is on the way…yeah…I guess it dosn’t work like that. I mean sure there is that whole “water breaking” thing but I’ve heard that sometimes it dosnt’ break. So yeah, I’m here…at work, waiting for the call.

People are constantly walking into my office and they all say the same thing “Why are you here?!” Ok look, this isn’t something that I have anything to do with in regard to its progression. Sure there are things that can be done to make things start…let me tell you, every thing that has “worked” for everyone else has yet to work for us. So…we are waiting.

In other news…my cat started peeing in the tub in the down stairs bathroom. I’m really not sure why. I caught her and I turned the shower on her. But yeah that’s about it

Ok so, Steph’s last day at her work was yesterday. That means that today is the first day of me being the “bring home the bacon guy”. Steph is gonna do the stay at home mom thing, which I’m all about….I will say though this is super weird. I mean as soon as Ivy is here, I’m completely responsible for the survival of two other humans (being Steph and Ivy).

So for now I’m in the “waiting phase” where we know Ivy is going to be here soon, we’re just not quite sure when. Technically Ivy is supposed to be here tomorrow, but our Midwife thinks she’s still got another week to go. Every now and then I ask steph if she’s in labor yet…thus far her answer has been no.

Everyone keeps asking me if I’m excited…I always tell them no. I mean I have no idea what to be excited about. In respect to Ivy’s current living situation she’s not unlike some alien being that has set up camp inside my wife’s body. I’m not sure what there is to be excited about that. I mean I don’t see said alien being, I know said alien is in there because I heard her heart(s) beat last night and I just hope that if she is in fact some alien life form that some how steph and I (and all my friends…so you guys are cool) will get a real easy job once the alien invasion starts because well…my wife did brith the first alien baby.

So yeah, I’ll keep you guys as posted as I can.
